Job Description
Practice size: 4 physicians, 5 midlevels, one satellite location
Specialty: Endocrinology – specific focus in Diabetes and Thyroid disease management
Other areas of Focus: Research – 8 active studies
Provider is a licensed Physician Assistant (“PA”) or Advanced Practice Nurse (FNP) authorized to practice in the State of Texas; Preferred 2 years experience in Primary Care or Endocrinology
Duties:
Reports to the Medical Director of Diabetes and Thyroid Center of Fort Worth, PLLC and to the appropriate Administrative Director of the assigned practice.
Provide professional PA clinical and case management services in appropriate specialty area as a Physician Assistant/Advanced Practice Nurse under the Collaborative Practice Agreement protocols approved by EMPLOYER and under the supervision of a physician in the manner prescribed by state law. Services include inpatient, outpatient practice and scheduled after-hours call.
Cooperate with and maintain acceptable teaching and working relationship with any educational institution or similar entity with which EMPLOYER has contractual relations or affiliations.
- Provide input and consultation with respect to the supervision, organization, and scheduling of the services of nurses, allied health personnel, and ancillary staff members.
- Attend and/or coordinate multidisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, staff educational in-services, etc., related to clinical services.
- As requested, serve on practice committees, i.e. Performance Improvement, etc.
- Participate with EMPLOYER practice administration in the daily operation of the practice as requested by Administrative Director.
